The Comblain Jazz Festival is back
After a ten‑year break, Comblain‑la‑Tour will once again resonate with jazz.
At the initiative of saxophonist Cezariusz Gadzina, who shared his idea with Barbara Wojda, President of the Millenium Centre, and with Patrick Lecerf, Mayor of the Hamoir municipality, the decision was made to revive the jazz festival.
On 26, 27 and 28 June, the Comblain Jazz Festival returns — an event that for decades helped shape the unique history of the Belgian jazz scene.
Jazz festivals in Comblain‑la‑Tour have an exceptional, multilayered history dating back to the late 1950s. It was then that this small town in the Ourthe Valley became one of the most important points on Europe’s jazz map. Between 1959 and 1966, legendary editions were held here, attracting both the greatest stars of world jazz and audiences hungry for musical freedom and artistic experimentation.
We want to reopen Comblain to music, to people, and to summer gatherings under the open sky.
We invite everyone who wishes to experience three days filled with sound, community, and a history being written anew.
Join us in Comblain‑la‑Tour — where jazz has always had its home.
