Petit Théâtre Mercelis

Built at the beginning of the 20th century, the building first housed a café and a billiard room on the ground floor. In the 1930s, the Commune rented the premises before becoming the owner of the building shortly after the Second World War.

In 1953, the municipal architect, Armand Poppe, renovated the theatre, inside and out, to give it its current appearance.

With a capacity of 178 seats, the Petit Théâtre Mercelis is a showcase in the heart of the commune of Ixelles.
