Centre Marius Staquet - Centre Culturel de Mouscron

In 1982, "Le Paris", a cinema and theatre with a capacity of 1300 people, burned down during a theatrical performance. The town of Mouscron decided to build a major cultural venue on the site of the cinema. To this end, it organised an architectural competition which was won by the Coussement office in 1984. Work began in 1987. The centre was inaugurated in 1990.
The Centre Marius Staquet, a place dedicated to culture, located in the centre of Mouscron, is a municipal building. It houses the Cultural Centre of Mouscron.
