Thomas Champagne Trio

With influences ranging from Dexter Gordon, to John Cioltrane, Lee Konitz, Joe Henderson and Wayne Shorter, the Thomas Champagne Trio has absorbed the jazz idioms form hard bop to modal jazz.

The absence of any chordal instrument in the band allows for a very open kind of jazz, giving much room and freedom to soloists. Their compositions are bold, colourfull, definitely modern and open-ended. The music travels, moves, shakes.

The three musicians are in perpetual dialogue, imprinting a never systematic groove, constantly electryfying their audience.
