Cuban Breeze

For more than 10 years now, Steve HOUBEN shows his interest and curiosity towards world music. Now he teams up with Didier LABARRE, a specialist in traditionnal Cuban percussion. Both musicians have been teaching for years at the International Summer Academy of Wallonia and often considered starting a project together. This project is now born and takes the form of the band CUBAN BREEZE.

It combines various traditional and contemporary aspects of popular Cuban music with the harmonic sophistication and the rich improvisations borrowed from the jazz world.
