Nacelle's original compositions are based on afro-creole inspired rhythms, blended with meditative melodies and trance-like grooves.
The band is inspired by spiritual jazz from the 1960s – represented by the likes of Abdullah Ibrahim, Yusef Lateef, Pharoah Sanders and Alice Coltrane – as well as by contemporary spiritual jazz – with such musicans as Naïssam Jalal, Matthew Halsall and Shabaka Hutchings.
