Flemish Jazz Meeting
Jazz Bruges, De Werf, Flanders Music Centre, JazzLab Series and Vooruit will join forces for a second edition of the "Flemish Jazz Meeting": a get-together for everyone who is professionally involved in jazz music.
Also the Europe Jazz Network (EJN), that will be holding its Annual Meeting at the same time, will attend the meeting.
The main purpose of the jazz meeting is to help build the international name and reputation of the Flemish jazz scene. By means of short concerts (showcases) in De Werf and in Vooruit, a selection of bands will get the chance to perform in the best of circumstances for international visitors.
Of course there will also be enough time and space for reflection! By holding an international debate on a topical subject and organising "Music discussions" for the local professionals, the organisers are aiming at only one thing: to keep jazz swinging in the future!
