No, Les Violons de Bruxelles are not a classical music orchestra.
Led by Tcha Limberger, the group brings together the cream of Belgian jazz violinists.
This string quintet—comprising three violins, a guitar, and a double bass—upends the conventions of the traditional swing format and offers a unique take on the Gypsy jazz repertoire.
Melodies blending boogie-woogie and chamber music combine harmoniously with sumptuous improvised passages, classical arrangements, and spirited Gypsy and Latin flourishes.
