The Jetsky Trio
Jan Rzewski is an improviser and composer. He studied at the Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio in Rome and continued his studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Liège, where he won first prize in improvisation under Garrett List. He has performed with Arno and Fanfare and Sonic Youth, joined the MEV Abdo Dagher ensemble in Cairo and played with the Venerucci Tango Project in Palestine. As a composer, Jan has collaborated with the ICTUS Ensemble and the Flanders Orchestra. He teaches saxophone and music theory at the Institut Rythmique Jaques Dalcroze in Brussels and has also worked with the Cirque des Sons, AREAM (a music therapy school), the Maison de la Création, the Médori (a day centre for people with disabilities) and the Zinneke Parade (Brussels).
