FLORE BENGUIGUI & THE SENSIBLE NOTES

Jazz from the 1930s meets the synthesizers of the 1970s.

The show

After years of singing with the internationally renowned group L’Impératrice, Flore Benguigui returns to her first love: the jazz she listened to as a teenager and never stopped embracing, notably at the Parisian club Le Baiser Salé, where she has been artist-in-residence for several years.

Her universe? An organic encounter between the swing of the 1930s and the warmth of analogue synthesizers from the 1970s.

“It’s jazz, but it’s fun,” she says.

On stage, music becomes a collective and playful playground, where happy accidents are welcome. The aim is clear: to shake up preconceived ideas about a genre often seen as elitist, and to build bridges between eras.

Together with her long-time musical accomplices and special guest artists, Flore Benguigui offers a free-spirited, vibrant and generous concert, where music is shared as a collective experience.
