These four exceptional musicians met on the New York scene in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Since then, they have played together in a variety of formations, but the chemistry of this quartet is unique because of the long-standing collaboration between the Moore/Kikoski and Essiet/Dudli teams.
- Mr. Moore is a rhythm fanatic. His rhythmic imagination is hidden beneath a soft, woody, slightly raspy sound. Like a matador, he will wait until the last second to wrest himself from the fate of a misplaced note.
