SLANG fête ses 25 ans !

A group whose motto is never to stop at the barriers established between styles, and who have always created their musical universe by feeding as much on jazz as on rock and music from all over the world, so that each piece constitutes a particular cocktail. Their inspiration has thus led them to sketch a world as we ultimately encounter it every day: mixed.

"Born at the dawn of the new millennium, Slang skims the subtleties of the last century to construct a resolutely modern, adventurous and exciting language. By crossing the multicultural prism of so-called 'ethnic' music, the group's pieces choose not to choose, carefully avoiding being locked into a too narrow, too rigid framework. Slang's music would not support that because it is from this naive decision that innovation is born.

In this centrifuge of the senses, the heart of the atom, jazz, decants to accelerate the fusion, to breathe the energetic and vital impulse, the soul of this music without anchoring... Led by François Garny, Manuel Hermia and Michel Seba, all three unleashed, Slang rolls in the opposite direction, swallows the asphalt without ever braking, voluntarily taking steep paths, dangerous roads."
