MATTHIAS VAN DEN BRANDE TRIO feat. JEAN-PAUL ESTIÉVENART : Fields of Color

In just two years, the Matthias Van den Brande Trio has managed to carve out a place for itself on the European jazz map.

With several important prizes in their pocket (B-Jazz International Contest & Tremplin Jazz 'Concours Européen' Avignon), they released their first album 'Three Sides of a Coin' in 2023, which was enthusiastically received in Belgium, France, Spain and in the Netherlands.

While managing a group without piano or guitar in a modern and unique way, the music remains accessible to the public thanks to strong interaction and melodic compositions rooted in the jazz tradition.

With their new show ‘Fields of Color’, they are inspired by the fabulous paintings of Mark Rothko, the great master of abstract expressionism of the 20th century. The fantastic trumpeter Jean-Paul Estiévenart joins the trio especially for this new project.
