"Clearly a vocal artist of exceptional class." Well, she's bringing that class to Gent Jazz this summer. Both Pat Metheny and John McLaughlin are fans. At Gent Jazz, she will be presenting her eleventh album, Waking World. This latest opus, written and composed during the lockdown, is the first for which she herself wrote all the words and music. Faithful to the different worlds of her discography, this repertoire invites us on a new vocal journey, at the crossroads of jazz, folk, pop and improvisation. Youn Sun Nah continues to surprise with her audacity, the power and virtuosity of her voice, which always contrasts with the apparent softness of the singer. This is going to be exciting!
