It's been since 2008 that Melody Gardot performed at our festival and since this has been a ridiculously long time ago, we had to ask her again. For those of you who dare to wonder why we're doing this, here are three reasons: she always knows how to touch the hearts of her audiences thanks to her immense talent, she recorded a song together with Sting (who will make his fourth attempt at Gent Jazz the day after) and her latest record ‘Sunset in the Blue' was hailed by the critics as yet another benchmark record in the tradition of jazz music. We could of course add 100 more reasons, but we'd rather prefer you discover them for yourself on 12 July. Do we have a deal?
