Trumpet player
Peer BAIERLEIN began studying classical music at the "Musikhochschule" in Cologne with Malte Burba when he was sixteen years old. After receiving his diploma in classical music, he switched to jazz and studied with Bert Joris at the "Swiss Jazz School" in Bern (Switzerland) and the "Lemmens Conservatory" in Leuven (Belgium). He took lessons from Claus Stötter, Ack van Rooyen and John McNeil, with whom he studied when he lived in New York for 1 year in 2001. He also was a member of the "Maria Schneider Workshop Orchestra" during the Jazzfestival in Middelheim in 2001. Peer has played in the "Brussels Jazz Orchestra" several times and has performed with many of Belgium´s best jazzmusicians.
He presented himself with his quartet .
First album, "Issues" released in February 2004.
In 2012, after 15 years in Belgium. Peer Baierlein moved back to Germany, where he formed a quartet.
