Call for applications: Dinant jazz – Concours Ceran Jeunes talents

Since 2008, the Dinant Jazz Festival has been organising a competition for young jazz bands. For the 2026 edition, the jury will select four bands to perform on Friday 24, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July 2026 at La Merveilleuse by Infinity Hotel in Dinant.

Entry requirements:

The competition is open to all young musicians from the Walloon-Brussels Federation (FWB), the Flemish Community, the German-speaking Community and Europe.

• No member of the band may be over 30 (thirty) years of age.

• The band must not have released any recordings produced by a record label prior to the date of the competition.

• Educational background is not a condition of entry. A self-taught musician has the same chances as a graduate.

Prizes

The winners of the competition will be offered:

Two days at the Green Field professional studio.

The opening concert of the ‘Dinant Jazz 2027’ festival

A recording of their live performance at the opening concert of the 2027 festival

A concert at the future Jazz Club

A concert at Jazz Zolder in Mechelen
