Ça Jazz à Huy 2024

42nd edition of the Ça Jazz à Huy festival. This is the third edition organised by the ASBL Musica Fiesta, with a programme featuring all forms of jazz. As in the past, the festival returns in the middle of summer in August. And as it should, the programme will appeal to novices and specialists alike, listeners and dancers, young and old.

"Thanks for the Roses' is Valentine U.'s first project as a singer-songwriter. The EP, blending folk and jazz influences, is due for release in autumn 2024. Valentine draws her inspiration from musicians such as Melanie De Biasio, Joni Mitchell and Yael Naim. A recent graduate in jazz singing from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, she is also a member of the group Just Vox and the Brussels DJ collective BONK. With this new project, she draws on her diverse experiences to offer a work that is intimate, touching and unifying.

NØ Steam

Formed in 2022, NØ Steam is a Belgian group that mixes jazz, funk and hip-hop, initiated by pianist Igor Gehenot and guitarist Fabrizio Graceffa, who are the main composers of the repertoire.

With a brand new set of compositions, the group plunges us into the fever of the electro-jazz period, mixing it with very contemporary influences.

The energy of the horns, the powerful groove of the rhythm section, the sound of DJ Eb Kaito's turntables, the lively improvisations and the meticulous arrangements make up the identity of this group with a unique sound.

This year we pay tribute to the creator of our festival, Fernand Launoy.

His friend José Bedeur, a musician well known to Hutois, has brought together a number of musicians to pay musical tribute to him.

Ça Jazz Off - Jazz cruise with the Collegian's Band

Embark on a cruise in the atmosphere of Dixieland jazz with the Collegian's Band, where you can also observe the wealth of heritage and history that the two banks of the Meuse have to offer. On the Val Mosan, Quai de Namur opposite the Collegiate Church.

For an hour and a half on the Ça Jazz à Huy cruise, whether you're on your own, with the family or with friends, take the time to stroll along the water with a good drink. The price for the musical cruise is €14.00.
