The Morning Call jazz band

Inspired by the famous, iconic New Orleans café renowned for its delicious beignets, "The Morning Call Jazz Band" draws its inspiration from composers and musicians such as Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, The Mills Brothers, and Sidney Bechet…Talented instrumentalists from the Brussels music scene, these four musicians also stand out for their refined vocal performances. They brilliantly perform their own barbershop-style arrangements of The Mills Brothers' repertoire, while also presenting their own original compositions.

This concert is paired with a workshop titled "PORTE D’ENTRÉE #1 – INTRODUCTION TO LINDY HOP AND CHARLESTON", which will take place on September 26 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the salle d’expression corporelle of Atrium57 (rue du Moulin 57, 5030 Gembloux). Apollo Swing is delighted to offer you a unique and dynamic introduction to Lindy Hop and Charleston, mixing both solo and partner dancing. Accessible to everyone, this workshop is specially designed for beginners and is the perfect opportunity to discover swing dancing—packed with energy and good vibes—to the catchy rhythms of 1930s and 1940s swing jazz.Participants of the Atrium57 workshop will benefit from a reduced rate of €10.00 to attend the Morning Call concert.
