On Friday 4 September 2026, Caroll Vanwelden will present her new album Shakespeare Revisited during an exclusive pre-release concert at Kaffee Damast in Kortrijk.
In this new project, Caroll brings William Shakespeare’s sonnets into the present. His words are transformed into contemporary songs in which jazz, art pop, chamber music colours and subtle electronics come together.
Caroll Vanwelden on vocals and piano is joined by Dominique Vantomme on keyboards and electronics and Jean-François Assy on cello and electronics. Together, they create an intimate and cinematic sound world in which the words, the voice and the silence are given room to breathe.
This special evening will offer the audience the first opportunity to discover the music from the new album before its official release.
