Pianist Eve Beuvens, who has been active for some fifteen years and leads various projects (solo, septet, trio featuring a mix of acoustic and electronic instruments, a Belgian-Swedish quartet…), has formed a new quartet. By creating new melodies based on old standards, incorporating snippets of songs that have stayed with her since her teenage years and approaching them with a fresh perspective, she has put together a new repertoire that is not far removed from the standards and traditional jazz. She collaborates with saxophonist Elly Brouckmans, double bassist Victor Foulon and her brother Lionel on drums.
