From 2020 to 2025, Sofiya Jazzzang studied at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen, where she graduated with honours with a Bachelor of Music under the supervision of Marjorie Barnes, Francien van Tuinen and Esra Dalfidan. She further developed her artistic voice through private lessons with internationally renowned musicians and teachers, including JD Walter, Judy Niemack, Michael Mayo, Deborah Brown and Dena DeRose.
As a performing artist, Sofiya has appeared on international stages and at festivals such as Jazzahead! in Bremen, ESNS and inJazz, and has given concerts in Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland and the Netherlands. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with artists such as Jesse Davis, Don Braden, Luis Bonilla and David Berkman, and performed with ensembles such as the Jasper Blom Tripod Quartet, the Prince Claus Conservatoire Big Band, the Belarusian National Orchestra and the Bundeswehr Big Band on international tours.
