What can music tell us when words fall short? On his latest album Latent Info, Greek bassist Petros Klampanis searches for music that begins to speak where language ends. It is a tribute to emotions and words that never received a voice, to all that goes unnoticed in the cacophony of everyday life. Together with kindred musical spirits Kristjan Randalu and Ziv Ravitz, Klampanis, who divides his time between New York and the Greek coast, draws inspiration from the openness of the sea, with an expansive and flowing sonic palette as an antidote to hectic modern life. Do not expect exuberant sounds, but subtle music in which expression is felt in every nuance, even in the silence.
