Thelonious Monk, sculpteur de silence, spectacle musical

Éric D’Agostino gives the floor, for the very first time, to the figure now revered by jazz musicians the world over: Thelonious Monk — the pianist who never spoke, who took refuge in the silences of his music.
The show explores the struggles of an unconventional artist trying to exist in a world hostile to madness and difference. This imagined voice of Monk enters into dialogue with his music: quirky, whimsical, twisted, playful compositions… all rearranged by a quartet of artists deeply devoted to his work, and brought to the stage by director Guy Theunissen.

With Éric D’Agostino (text and double bass), Paolo Loveri (guitar), Michel Mainil (saxophone), Patrick Wante (drums)
