Jazz Club Leuven presents : VAGOS KWINTET - album release ‘Nami’ official presentation

Live Jazz evening concert with Belgian musicians : Casimir Ostyn (gitaar, composities), Dieter Vaganée (sax), Tim Eysackers (piano), Ramon Van Merkenstein (contrabas), Olivier Wéry (drums).

Vagos Kwintet presents their recently released album ‘Nami’ at this concert. Casimir Ostyn, the driving force behind the group, wrote a harmonious series of compositions for this album, with influences from world music, modern jazz, and classical music. ‘Nami’, which means ‘wave’ in Japanese, symbolizes both the undulating movement with which sound and music propagate, as well as the sometimes unpredictable waves of life. The music focuses not only on individual virtuosity, but also on interaction, inherent in jazz.

Vagos Kwintet is one of the new jazz groups that succeeds in bringing the magic of jazz to life and conveying it to the audience in an accessible way.
