His first teacher was Kris Duerinckx, back at the Jazzstudio Antwerp, afterwards Stephane Galland, Dre Pallemaerts and Billy Hart.
He had the pleasure of playing with the finest among Belgian musicians such as : Fabien Degryse, Robin Verheyen, Chris Mentens, Bart Defoort, Steven Delannoye, Jean Paul Estievenart, Steve Houben, Jef Neve, Christian Mendoza, Pascal Mohy, Free Desmyter, Nicolas Kumert, to name a few.
Apart from playing drums Wery composed different works on computer (www.mefune.be), aswell as the soundtrack for numerous prize-winner 3D movie "Mouse For Sale" (Wouter Bongearts).
