Concert + Jam Session : « Jazz Connection »

PLOEF! is launching a collaboration with the ‘Jazz Connection’ project run by the association ‘L'enfant qui danse’ (The Dancing Child).

In order to encourage and support emerging jazz musicians, the association ‘L'enfant qui danse’ organises European-level meetings that enable these musicians to fully express their artistic potential.
The event should be seen as a kind of ‘musical conference’, a mix between a concert, a jam session and much more.
This project will revolve around a ‘guest’ group being welcomed by local musicians called “hosts” in different European countries. In these ‘musical conferences’, the guest musicians will choose different jazz standards that will serve as the basis for artistic exploration with all participants.
Any musician who feels qualified will have free access to the stage to experience and share these musical experiences with the audience.

What to expect?
First SET:
Original pieces, composed and arranged by the guest musicians.
SECOND SET:
The guest quartet plays standards.

THE JAM SESSION
A new approach to the Jam Session:
Any musician can take to the stage and share their views on the standards proposed by the guest group.
