Wilderman

Wilderman

After the impressive organ point behind a long career with Aroma di Amore, frontman Elvis Peeters continues on this momentum with the equally quirky band Wilderman. Wilderman plays jazz instruments with the attitude of a punk band and the expressionism of Paul van Ostaijen. Their debut album was described by the music press as amazing, unique and contrarian; musically, they referenced the passion of Coltrane, the somewhat raw energy of Arno and the unique atmosphere of Morphine. Their tasted theatrical tour around Spanish poet Miguel Hernández culminated in a second LP of music inspired by the poetry of the committed poet who died in a Spanish prison at the age of 32. The poetic, powerful language of Elvis Peeters carried by the sometimes groovy, then stomping or slightly angular arrangements of Chris Carlier make Wilderman a unique band that does not shy away from moral sledgehammer blows and musical barbs.
