Karim Blal is an inventive and virtuoso pianist, Italian by birth and Parisian at heart. Inspired by the greatest jazz pianists, he quickly forged his own personality, while remaining very attached to the pianists of the “great tradition”, and it shows. In fact, there's something essential about his music. Already recognized by the greats, and having studied with Barry Harris and Kenny Barron, Karim has performed with Ari Hoenig, Hans Glawischnig and E.J. Strickland.
