Born in January 2022 around the musical universe of Spanish-Belgian saxophonist and composer Alejandra Borzyk, Bodies brings together exceptional musicians from the international jazz scene in Brussels: Camille-Alban Spreng (CH) on keyboards and effects, Mateusz Malcharek (PL ) on electric bass and Elie Gouleme on drums. The group uniquely integrates various influences from the current international jazz scene: live electronic music from Brussels (ECHT!, Commander Spoon), rhythms and stylistic diversity from London (Nubya Garcia), tradition, harmonies and free improvisation of the United States, and the minimalism of Northern Europe (Bendik Giske).
