On his solo debut City Swamp (2024, New Soil), Jake Long dives deep into creating a compelling rhythmic world. The British drummer, a member of the post-punk band Snapped Ankles, toured the world with his six-piece band Maisha, where spiritual jazz and Afrobeat converge. As versatile as ever, Long builds on these influences but frames them in what he describes as a "dystopian suite". During the festival, he shares the stage with an absolute top-tier ensemble.
