Ramon van Merkenstein Trio - CD release "Waiting for a summer storm"

This project, founded and led by Brussels double bassist and composer Ramon van Merkenstein, passionately expresses his love for contemporary jazz, while establishing an authentic connection with the audience. Rhythmic basslines blend with melodic and lyrical narrations, creating a captivating musical experience. The interaction between the members of the group is both surprising and full of creative adventures. Their first album, Quiet Dreams, was acclaimed by Jazz & Mo’, Le Soir and Jazz’halo who praised its deep musicality and richness of composition. Today, they are proud to unveil their new opus, Waiting for a Summer Storm, released October 2024 under the prestigious Challenge Records label.
