Brussels Jazz Karnaval

PARADE

Krewe du Belge invites you to a carnival parade, a musical tour of legendary jazz cafés. Every year, Carnival is a special time, which celebrates the return to life after winter. Following the success of the first 2 editions, we are organizing a new festive stroll, called “Second Line” in New Orleans, with around twenty brilliant Jazz musicians.

This year, we are inviting some big names from Belgian jazz, including the brass band "No Pareto", to come and enhance with their presence an inclusive and colorful Brussels group which has been shining for 5 years through the country's halls, streets and festivals.

This journey will be punctuated by mini sets and jams in cult places in the city center:

-5 p.m. Dolle Mol (gathering),

-6 p.m. departure to the Music Village

-6:30 p.m. Grand place, then St Hubert gallery, rue des Bouchers

-7 p.m. Roskam

-8 p.m. L'Archiduc

-8:45 p.m. Manneken Piss

-9 p.m. Special New Orleans Jam at Dolle Mol

The music will be jazz, funk, R&B, but also... Belgian: “On a soif!”, “ça plance pour moi”, “Putain Putain”, “On reste au bar”, in a New Orleans version, are part of of the directory.

It is strongly recommended to disguise yourself.
