Lara Rosseel's rich arrangements, made of intimate expansions and subtle sound paintings. At the start of 2020, Lara Rosseel created a surprise on the Belgian jazz scene with her new album De Grote Vrouw. Since then, the Belgian double bassist has been one of the most active women on the Belgian jazz scene.
For her new album Hert, Lara surrounded herself with a brand new group, made up of Sam Vloemans, Sep François, Willem Heylen and Angelo Moustapha. An album that moves from rich arrangements to more intimate pieces. A musical and creative freedom with groove and the ingenuity of interaction as its only precedents. A journey overflowing with danceable melodies and surprising rhythms, ethnic acoustic jazz, flirting in a zone where cinematic jazz meets traditional African roots.
