L'ensemble KĀMA

Kama  is an invitation to a musical journey, an enchanting voyage where groove, melody, and trance merge with the richness of jazz and oriental music. The project, led by multi-instrumentalist and composer Yovanny Adant, immerses us in an eclectic, cinematic, and vibrant universe, out of time. The album is a bold fusion where asymmetrical rhythms and delicate sonorities intersect, inspired by Andalusia, the Middle East, India, and North Africa, while subtly evoking the spirit of jazz standards. Between poetry and powerful climaxes that touch the heart and soul, Kama generously explores the depths of soul music and opens doors to spiritual realms. Full of emotion and intensity, Kama is music that moves, carries, and connects.

“Kama”, signed by Yovanny Adant, is his second opus, in which he deeply explores composition through the lens of his many travels. This album draws influence from spiritual trances, blues, modal jazz, Sufi music, Indian ragas, and Arabic maqams, while paying tribute to a wave of artists who inspire him: Dhafer Youssef, Avishai Cohen, Paolo Fresu, Anouar Brahem, Paco de Lucía, Cenk Erdoğan, Miles Davis, Tigran Hamasyan, Anoushka Shankar…
