Maxime Blésin Quartet

Right before the pandemic, guitarist Maxime Blésin presented, at the Dinant Jazz festival, the preview of a repertoire imbued with typical sounds from Rhodes and electric guitar. Supported by a traditional rhythm section (double bass and drums), this electric quartet features movements that are simultaneously rhythmic, harmonic and emotional, as well as full of contrasts. Cradled by jazz standards, funk, soul, or even classical music, the guitarist’s compositions cross genres, and his leitmotifs, interaction and surprise, wink at a common creative imaginary. Expect to be taken on a journey full of vigor and passion by these four musicians and their first album (coming up in end of September)!
