Belgian saxophonist Steven Delannoye began working with american bassist Desmond and drummer Jesse Simpson in 2010, during Delannoye's studies at the Manhattan School of Music. Since then they have toured internationally and recorded three albums, one on Belgian label De Werf for release in 2014. The trio combines traditional elements found in the saxophone trios of the 1960's with more contemporary sounds of Jazz today in an unmistakable way unique to the Steven Delannoye Trio.
