Too Noisy Fish

Too Noisy Fish

…breaking new boundaries. The piano trio with double bass and drums explores any style or inspiration with total freedom: jazz, film, classic, ambient, experimental or rock. Being the rhythm div of the slightly deranged Belgian big band Flat Earth Society, TNF is now completely on the loose.

Peter Vandenberghe (piano), Kristof Roseeuw (double bass) and Teun Verbruggen (drums) come together in this dynamic trio, mixing different genres to create a unique sound. Their music can be described as ‘tumultuous’ – in the best way.

The trio has three records to its name, of which the latest, Furious Empathic Silence, came out in 2019. FES, which is also the abbreviation of the band’s first two albums, contains seven original compositions as well as a creative rendition of Missy Elliott’s Can’t Stop. The contrast in the album’s title (furious silence) summarizes the record very well, as the musicians jump across different genres throughout.

In 2021, the band was celebrating its tenth birthday. By including writer Dimitri Verhulst, Bart Maris (trumpet), Bruno Vansina (saxophone), Philip De Jager (marimba) and DJ Grazzhoppa, the band was transformed into a much larger ensemble. This party is sure to be a hit!
Their newest album Too Many Fish: 10 years Too Noisy Fish will be released April 7 2023 on Mighty Quinn Records.
