Mild Breeze with Hints of Love Lost is a deeply personal collection of 16 original compositions by Robert Jukic, performed by Robert Jukic on double bass, Bram De Looze on piano, and Kristijan Krajnčan on drums and cello.

Recorded in a single day at the renowned Artesuono Studio in Italy with multiple award-winning recording engineer Stefano Amerio, the album captures the immediacy and openness of three exceptional musicians responding to the music in real time. Jukic arrived at the studio with a set of original compositions, and the trio simply moved from one piece to the next, shaping each interpretation in the moment. The performances preserve the freshness of that unique day in the studio, with every recording being a first encounter with the music.

The album's sonic landscape is enriched by two distinct instrumental settings. Some pieces feature the classic piano–bass–drums trio, while others replace the drums with cello, creating an intimate piano–cello–bass ensemble. This interplay between rhythmic drive and lyrical chamber-like textures gives the record a remarkable variety of colors while maintaining its unified artistic vision.

Each composition is paired with a haiku written by Robert Jukic and an original drawing by Tinka Mesec Tomazin, created in response to listening to the music and reading the accompanying poems. Together, music, poetry, and visual art form a unified artistic cycle in which each medium deepens and complements the others.

Inspired by human nature, the human condition, and the complexities of relationships, Mild Breeze with Hints of Love Lost is ultimately a heartfelt eulogy to the composer's mother—a quiet, contemplative work that reflects on love, loss, memory, and the enduring bonds that shape our lives.
