Héritage Normand is a contemporary jazz album by Italian saxophonist and composer Attilio Sepe. Recorded with his quintet and featuring the special participation of Maurizio Giammarco, the album was released in 2023 by WoW Records. It draws inspiration from the landscapes, history, and spirit of Normandy, offering a heartfelt musical tribute through original compositions. This artistic project follows the path set by Sepe's previous album Nomads (2021), and showcases a mature and refined musical voice. The ensemble, made up of talented musicians from the Italian and European jazz scenes, delivers an expressive and sophisticated sound. The album premiered in concert at Casa del Jazz in Rome on May 27, 2023, and has been performed live in Belgium and across Europe. Track highlights include Manon, Cherbourg-Octeville, And Then She Comes At Dusk, and the title piece Héritage Normand.
