The past few years have been rich and eventful, full of a thousand things, and they’ve flown by at breakneck speed! After a while of wanting to run as fast as a thoroughbred, I sometimes feel like a pony on a merry-go-round.
I need to pare things down, to take a deep breath, and let myself be inspired.
So it’s decided! I’m getting my heart trio back together, and together we’ll set sail-without ever dropping anchor-on a comforting ocean of popular songs, the ones that have found their place in our collective unconscious.
Fewer notes for more resonance; less willpower for more surprise; less performance for more presence. We’ll celebrate simplicity with melodies that cost the planet nothing.
We’ll rehearse only in the privacy of our own thoughts and travel exclusively by bike, from the Signal de Botrange to the North Sea, always downhill. We’ll drink only clear water or fermented potions, and we’ll speak very little-except when the potions speak for us…
