Duke Ellington, widely considered one of the most influential figures in 20th century music. Over a career spanning more than 50 years, he composed thousands of pieces, helped define the big-band swing era, and elevated jazz to a respected form of high art. Furmi Gomez, one of the leading voices on jazz saxophone in Brussels, brings us a great selection of Duke's works this evening, accompanied by an outstanding band, full of energy.
