For this occasion, the Andreas Smet Trio brings the legendary big band music of Count Basie to life in an intimate trio setting.
The iconic albums ‘The Atomic Mr Basie’ (1956), ‘Chairman of the Board’ (1959), and ‘Kansas City Suite’ (1960) serve as major sources of inspiration for this project.
Expect well-known big band arrangements by Neal Hefti, Benny Carter, Ernie Wilkins, and Frank Foster, reimagined for a small-scale trio format. Swing guaranteed!
