After sharing time and space in multiple projects along side one another over the last few years (Moker, Eddy & The Ethiopians, Trekvogels, Yelemani Trio, Godeville’s Partly Live… )
Edward Capel, Giovanni Barcella & Mathias Van de Wiele set up their trio in september 2019, aiming for a small créative unit, a haven from which to set sail their musical fantasies.
Immediately became clear free improvised music would be the framework to operate within’ as it connects their spirits in mutual understanding, inspiration and expériences.
Thus improvised, the musical language and vocabulary is nourished with plenty of diverse colours and references crossing stylistic borders and idioms, resulting in eclectic and poetical storylines…
In the fall of 2019 two live recordings were made at Hot Club Gent (Ghent, Belgium) and POM (Eindhoven, Holland) of which the first one is now to be released as their first official recording on Chopstick Records (Ghent, B) available on Bandcamp .
In February Corona arrived in Europe and held them from doing gigs and release activities, now they are ready to kick off once more…
