La Posterie - Centre Culturel de Courcelles

Our cultural centre is recognised as a category 1 centre by the Decree governing cultural centres; its general missions are set out in a Programme Contract, which includes in its axes: cultural dissemination, aid to socio-cultural associations, support for cultural creation, development of the territory, and missions of training and permanent education. This programme contract is binding on four parties: the ASBL, the Ministry of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the Commune of Courcelles and the Province of Hainaut. We are also approved by the ONE in the framework of our Early Childhood Care Service. The latter receives equivalent subsidies from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the Commune of Courcelles and benefits from recognition and significant funding from the Walloon Region in the APE scheme.

Purpose: The project of the Courcelles Cultural Centre is based, in a fundamental way, on the global socio-cultural development, aiming at a better quality of life, a better well-being of the population and a greater participation of the latter in cultural and social life; it is founded on the values of democracy, freedom, tolerance, happiness, solidarity and fraternity, plurality of Cultures, human rights (guaranteeing access to Culture and Education for the greatest number) and equal opportunities.
