About Us
The initiators of the project

Martine Renwart worked for 12 years in the artistic planning of the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels. She accompanied the productions from their creation to their performance on stage. As a production manager she managed numerous tours around the world. She then carried out a social project for 14 years in Brazil, in a small fishing village that had no water, electricity, education or health post. Her last project was to support the formation of a percussion group with young people from the village who had never played music, and to perform them in concerts in Rio de Janeiro and San Paolo. This is how she discovered all that makes our common humanity, beyond cultural differences, misunderstandings and incomprehensions.

Emmanuel De Ryckel has been a freelance supply chain consultant in the pharmaceutical industry for over 25 years. Because of his profession, he has made more than a hundred trips to Rio de Janeiro, which gave rise to his passion for Brazil and its music. It is from this contact that he developed his conviction that music, and art in general, is an ideal way to help all young people in precarious situations, wherever they may be, to see their future in a better light. For several years he has been involved in the making of documentaries and the organisation of concerts to promote the links between French and Brazilian cultures.
