  • Instruments : Guitars
  • Date of birth : 22/07/1963 - Charleroi

Luciano is a self taught guitar player, with a huge passion and knowledge for the instrument. Being a journalist ( Guitares&Claviers) in the eighties, he has spent a countless learning time with amazing guitar players such as Bill Frisell, John Scofield, Pat Metheny or Mike Stern, hanging with them, in tours and gigs. As a musician, he developped a unique approach to perform solo gigs using a looper box during live sessions. Maybe one of the first musicians in Europe, to go fearless on stage with a looping machine, for hours, ... Alone!  He played with Omar Puente (violon), Robert Mitchell (keys), Jay Azzolina (gtr) , Benoit Vanderstraeten (bs), Alain Duchateau (dr), Anthony Marcon (bs), to put some names and he is also well -knowned for his funny improvising duets with bass player Pep Romeo. His unconventional moto is ; "Do not rehearse what you play, go for it, be spontaneous, play with feel, build a story with the guy in front of you, make people happy !".  He is now closely taking care of young talents of the jazz guitar such as Tom Ollendorff, Juan Oliveira Rodrigues, Thomas Mitsouris and Tiago Lageira, to name a few.
