Started playing guitar at the age of fifteen (1977) and at the same time wrote literary short stories which were published by Pivre Noir (Marseille).

1978 -1980 Nice Conservatory in guitar and music theory classes, then Monaco Jazz Conservatory in guitar, ensemble and small group. Gives one concert per month with the entire Conservatory, which at the time included Philippe Soirat, Thierry Chauvet, Sylvia Versini, Daniel Biro, David Salkin and many others. At the same time, he took lessons at the Prince Rainier Academy in saxophone and double bass.

1980-1982 Paris Jazz Conservatory (CIM), guitar lessons with Pierre Cullaz and harmony lessons with Jef Gilson. Various concerts in conservatory groups, notably in Courchevel for Claude Bolling.

1983-1985 Plays with Amaury Filliard, Manu Chambo, in various groups and performs in jazz festivals such as: Grasse, Brignoles, Lyon, Grenoble, Paris, Limoges, as well as in a host of clubs.

1985 lives in Belgium, Central Jury, military service.

1987 creates the Kanzas City Band with Hervé Martens, Renoar Hadri, Thierry Gutmann, and Hughes Kanza (Soul Funk style).

1987-1991 plays in all possible and unimaginable concert cafés, festivals, evening events, notably the Jazz rally with the KCB, but also Yvan Paduart, Daniel Roméo, Céline T'Hooft, Marat Araujo and many others...

1991-1994 joined the Compagnie Pour Rire and learned various theater, circus and acrobatics techniques. Toured throughout Europe with this troupe (including the Helsinki International Festival in 1992).

1994-1997 return to pure music and records for various singers, works in the studio and actively seeks the outcome of a style, combining writing and music while continuing to play in various groups including the American singer and drummer Freddy Starks (Cozy Band).

1997 October, recording of a three-track CD with Nicolas Fiszman and David Salkin.

1998-1999 plays again and again and composes twenty-eight additional songs which will form the group's first repertoire combining rap, jazz, funk and rock (records all guitars in early 98 for Caron's album "Arcane" ).

1999-2000 December 9, 99, first concert at the circle near the Sablon in Brussels, followed by around ten others at the beginning of 2000 at the same time as research with a view to a production.

2000-2001 composition of the eleven titles (among others) included on the album "Show me your red dress", where Stéphane Salkin plays all the instruments composes arranges sings writes the texts etc...

2002-2004 Various concerts and gives guitar lessons again

2005 Became in 2005 the coordinator of the song competition "d'autres sons": www.euromedcafe.org, which brings together artists from 35 countries for intercultural dialogue.

- Gives lessons at the Rhodes St Genesis toy library.

2006-2008 I find a concept closer to my roots (jazz), compose two new repertoires (+ or less 60 titles), the second will be the good one, compositions for trio guitar (voice) double bass, drums.

Presents the project at Mogno music (www.mognomusic.com) and is hired by this label.

The cd was released in December 2009, with Thierry Gutmann (drums), Eric Fusillier (double bass), and Stéphane Salkin (yours truly) on guitar and voice.

Since the end of 2008 the trio has been touring in Belgium...and elsewhere. Recognized by the Art et vie tours in 2011 and 2012.

-2011, 2012 also toured as a quartet in the formula "From Jazz to Soul"

2016/2017 concerts with Jamal Thomas, ex-drummer of James Brown

Since 2016 also manager of the work of my father, the painter Emile Salkin
