Alain Dedion

After classical clarinet studies at the Academy of Nivelles and the conservatory of La Louvière where he finished his cycle under the watchful eye of René Zaprzalka, he decided to move towards jazz by beginning studies at the conservatory of Namur in the classes of Pierre Van Dormael, Nathalie Loriers, Pierre Vaiana. He specialized in particular in the playing of the baritone saxophone without however forgetting the clarinet and the transverse flute.

He also worked with Frédéric Delplancq and with other renowned musicians in the world of Belgian jazz.

From 1982 to 1998, he will deepen his art by playing in the Big Band of Jack Gondry, the Big Band Dr Dues and Co de Ciney directed by Hugues Gillard and the New Beat's Band directed by Giovanni Vero
