Vincent Barracato

Vincent Barracato was born in 1972 in Luik, Belgium, in a family of musicians, his father is the well known french singer:"Frédéric François".

At the age of 4, he starts studying classical piano with a private teacher called: Emile Simon.
Later, he attends the music academy of Huy where he studies piano and solfegio.

At the age of 15, he carries on his classical studies at the royal music conservatory of Luik with Chantal Bohets where he recieves the first prize in piano and solfegio.
At the same time, he takes courses of Jazz piano with Pirly Zurstrassen.

As a passionate of Jazz and Funk music since his childhood, in 1992, he decides to expand his musical background and moves to Los Angeles where he attends the K.I.T (Keyboard Institute of technology), and takes lessons with the great keyboardist Scott Kinsey (Tribal Tech, Scott Henderson, Joe Zawinul, ….)

Coming back from L.A, he starts to compose his own music and decides to build a recording studio. At the same moment, he plays in different bands and perform live.

Since a few years now, he 's got involved in his father's career (Frédéric François), and has produced many records for him.
In parallel, he's been working on many different musical projects; R'n B, Latino, Jazz, Pop, Rock,…as a pianist, composer, arranger, producer, and sound engineer.

Right now, he's just finished recording his own album called:"Latin Vibes"...
